Default Anyone created a group in Ning?
I've set up a network there for Proverbs 31 (http://p31woman.ning.com/) but can't work out how to list other groups I belong to and thought perhaps someone here might know. I've explored their hints and tips but although they say you can show other groups, the settings I have on my account seems to only include groups I've created and I want to show groups that others have created.

I'm curious how Ning works, period. I found a social network and joined it last night, it looks like it will be beneficial to me. I also found one today (accidentally) and joined. However, when I login to Ning and click to view my social networks it says I don't have any. I'm confused. Both groups look like something that I want to participate in but I'm not understanding the site, I don't thinks.

Thanks!
Lanel

Each network is individual so whilst the system might remember your details and show them on the 'mypage' you won't have one page that lists all your groups, unless the groups were created inside a main one. It's kind of hierarchical from what I can work out. I'm still learning too.

I've created my Proverbs 31 woman group and then a subgroup for prayer - both of those show on the main page. But I also belong to 3 or 4 other groups that aren't connected so I've copied their embed codes for their group badges and put them on the main page of the group I've created so that people there can see other groups that might interest them.

It's not like you have a page that's you though, and then list all your groups - the focus is on each individual group of which you are a part, and not the other way round. Does that make sense?

You need to log into the groups you've joined, not just ning.com.

Thanks! That (sort of) makes sense. It's just different than most other social networking sites so it'll take some getting used to.

Yes, it is quite different - the focus being on the network, not the individual.

I'm on Ning (lianeal); and I have also created a new network for irish business women (open to businesswomen in the world) & also joined a new network for VA's.
I am still confused to how this works out, though. Any tips?

I don't have any tips yet. I joined a new local networking group that I'm a little excited about and a group for single Christian women. I haven't really figured it all out yet, though.
