That's a great way to use Pintrest! I'm just now beginning to use it, but I can see potential for my husband's remodeling business. Pinterest would be the perfect way for clients to organize and share design ideas for their home. I think the same approach could be used for website design (as Amy Lynn mentioned) and other design work done by VAs. Thanks for sharing!

As others have said, Quora and Pinterest.

In particular I think Pinterest will be the platform of 2012, it has huge potential.

The client I'm working with just sent me an invite to Pinterest. I'm still trying to figure out how this works but I may just start posting about music I like just I can get the hang of it then later maybe I can come up with a clever idea as to how to use it for my business.

That's a good idea, it's very important not to use it to simply promote your business as they have strict rules against this.

I don't really think of Pinterest as a social network in the same sense as Facebook or LinkedIn, but it does have quite a following. My daughter has a review blog and at the beginning of January, she did a post about words to live by and pulled a bunch of quotes from Pinterest. In the past 28 days, she's had over 45,000 hits on that one post alone.

Pinterest is great for niche marketing - say a blog or website about fashion - but I'm not really sure how it will benefit VAs. You wouldn't use it for your main business website, but if you have a blog tied in with your site, you may find some use for it.

There are so many sites out there, I'm on a number of them myself and wonder if I use up a lot of time updating them whilst not receiving all that much back. Does anyone else feel the same? I'm not saying they are pointless as they serve a purpose from a marketing point of view but I wouldn't want to get caught up being on all the sites going.
