I have started to setup my facebook fan page. The link is http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref...1598569?ref=nf
My question is, how do you get the shorter url like some people have instead of the one i have?
Also what do most of you include on your page? I'm already stuck for what to put and there's nothing there lol.

I am going to add you as a fave and send you the web address....I do my blog, newsletters...I have info about my services. Look around at different pages to see what others have to get an idea about yours.

You can also use one of the URL shortners and make a unique small URL for your facebook page...like I have http://budurl.com/JKVirtualFB which is a permanent URL and is short and easy to post.

I would recommend adding a photo or your logo to the page. Post some links to interesting, relevant information. If you have a blog, import your blog feed. Add the YouTube application and bookmark some videos that might be relevant to your potential clients/fans.

Just added you to my fan page as well...there's not really a whole lot you can add to your fan page, but you should put a picture up, of something, at least , maybe your logo..or your picture- wow, you have clients already, that is awesome! How did you accomplish that, if I may ask? Feel free to post any more questions here, Rebecca T is awesome for her knowledge on facebook!

Thanks Rhonda....it is just practice and searching. I have to know all i can about something if I am going to use it. I learn everyday I log on. Someone may have something I can use, and I will ask them, "How did you do that". I feel it is up to me, if someone gives it to me or if I figure it out, to pass it along. After all, isn't that what Tess created this place for?

And you are welcome, I thought I knew a lot about facebook, but in the last couple of weeks, you have taught me quite a bit more! and it is nice to have people share their knowledge, instead of keeping it to themselves!

I'll add a pic today and a few links.
I sent emails out to my whole network of people that i have email addys for and i got a reply from 2 of them saying they'd be interested to talk once the business is officially opened as they were recently thinking of outsourcing some work. (I'm just waiting on the business registration to come back which should be this week)
So they're only potential clients at this stage but call me optimistic, i'll call them clients unless they decide not to go through with the work lol.
