Thanks for sharing! hate sometimes when they make laws etc - cause may be to help but seems sometimes open pandora's box for other things later on that are detrimental. We can all hope they come up with something that will help.

Thanks for sharing this, I completely missed this one. I wish this would have been the case this year since I moved and had to claim two home offices. I like the idea of a standard or itemized option since many people do not take the deduction for fear of messing up and being audited.

Hopefully more small business tax breaks will follow.

Thanks for posting the link. It def sounds like a good thing. But... it's just like all the other standard deductions, you need to be sure to check that your actual deductions are not more than the standard deduction. If so, it would be better to use the actual verus the standard. I think the IRS hopes people will just take all the standard decuctins and end up paying more taxes than necessary. Anyway, I'm off my soap box now. Just be sure to check with a knowledgable tax advisor when the time comes!!
