Hello! I have a quick question, and I do apologize if this is the wrong location... my client is Toronto and I would like to send her my welcome package - one problem, I normally include a W9 - do I still include this for her or is there another form I should be submitting?

I am not 100% on this one as a W-9 is used to gather information only from US persons and businesses. You could send it to them as just a general practice however I am not sure they will actually report it to the US.
With that said that does not mean that you do not need to report the income. It is income that you have earned and is subject to taxes regardless of where the client resides.

I suggest you ask an accountant to make sure. You can send it to them to cover yourself, but they wouldn't report the income to the US gvt anyway, and that form means nothing in Canada. They'd report the earnings on their Canadian tax reports.
I agree that you should speak with a professional on the matter. The US Gov is not concerned with what country you get your money from, they just want their cut!
My guess is we still have to pay US taxes on all income, but definitely ask a US based Accountant.
