I am using Norton and have found its a little annoying..
Slows Pc a little it tends to let you know you have to restart for updates to take effect and a scan takes for ever! enough to go make a coffee ring someone, check the snail mail... come back and its still scanning.. totally annoying..

After subscription is up i think I'll be going to Trend Micro
what I should of done originally but once I had that Trojan found at the pc repair shop I became a impulse buyer...

We had the same experience with Norton, but Trend Micro is also annoying - it has these irritating pop ups that are a pain in the neck.

Hi Julia,

This could be a settings issue. I don't have that problem with popups.

I was using McAfee but it takes a lot of memory, which slows your computer down. As a result, I switched to AVG and have not had a problem since.

Just uninstalled McAfee from my laptop (came with my Dell) because of a lot of conflicts with Vista. I use AVG on all our computers and AdAware as well.

I use AVG Pro, Adaware, Spybot and Windows Defender. AVG and Windows Defender are on all the time with updates/scans taking place at 2-3 am. Adaware and Spybot I run weekly usually starting them when I go to bed so they're done in the morning.
