Default Save time with a password system
I can't even tell you how many times I logged online to pay a bill and couldn't remember a password. I change my passwords frequently so I have to fumble around looking for the correct one.

I decided it was time to come up with a system. I completely finish an excel spreadsheet and then came across KeePass Password Safe.

I haven't tried it yet. I found it after I finished my excel sheet.

I use Password Corral. It's free and I've been using it for quite a while. I pay all my bills online so it's been a lifesaver for me. You can find out more about it at http://www.cygnusproductions.com/freeware/pc.asp.

Ohhhh! Thanks for this Dawn! You should have seen my jaw drop the other day when Tess posted about how she uses a bunch a different passwords and the frequency of which she changes them! UGH! Was I feeling like a slacker!

Another cool thing I need to add to the list of stuff to load on my new 'puter! I think the list is longer than my arm!

Make it a great day!

I have been using Roboform for the last few months and I love it!

It wasn't free like this one though.

The best password is 8 characters long taking into consideration the following aspects:

1.) Not a dictionary word.
2.) Be alpha-numeric.
3.) Contain upper and lower case letters. (IMPORTANT: Remember passwords are case sensitive.)
4.) Contain special characters.

Even though I use this convention, I have to make a cheat sheet because passwords change at work so frequently.

Just a note: I loaded a free program Biz-Form which works great but has a couple of things.

1. The program used the word Trojan in one of the file names so my virus software keeps telling about a threat.

2. I still have to keep an Excel spreadsheet cause it does not provide a way for me to get a listing of the user names and passwords it is keeping! (Maybe a little to safe )

So, if you use one check to see if you will still have to keep a log of some sort - kinda defeats the purpose as you save it on your computer!

Just a reminder if you're using Word or Excel to keep a list of passwords:

1) Encrypt the file.
2) Don't use the words Password or Username in the title OR in the file. That's the things crooks will search for when looking for a password list.
