I've never used Google docs either. I like the control of having the files on my computer and having my own software. With mergers and acquisitions you never know who will own Google or any company tomorrow. I heard discussion on the radio this morning of the possibilty of Microsoft buying Research in Motion (Blackberry) - the discussion was in relation to the Google phone. Who knows if Microsoft will offer for RIM or if RIM would sell.
I have never used GoogleDocs because of the security issue. I do use some free services but for add-ons such as time management and sendthis file. Like Julia I like having everything on my own computer with my own licensed software.
Has anyone ever used Sharepoint? Sharepoint hosting is not expensive and I'm looking at it as a collaboration tool. The hosting company I use offers Sharepoint hosting for $12.45 (US) a month if you pay for 12 months. I'm thinking about it.
