Default getting your security sorted
Hi everyone

I know we have all heard it before but protecting your pc from virus's I feel is so so important thesedays!! Due to a silly overlooking my security was recently breached.. and of course it ended up one of the worst security threats you can get (a trojan horse). Let me tell you if you have never experienced it, you really wouldn't want to... If you dont have a backup system in place be prepared to say by by to photos/files/work related stuff.. What a stress!! arrrrhhh
All I can say from my experience is protect yourself and documents and use a top rated virus protecter (one you pay for)..

I actually use 2 forms of protection -
Zone Alarm (allows me to decide whether I authorize a program to access the internet from my computer or vice-versa)

F-PROT antivirus (self explanatory )

I have used McAfee for years (based on the recommendation of my pc guru) and I recently just added SpyBot.

I backup all of my client files onto seperate CD's, I backup all my business files onto a CD and then I backup the whole system on alternating zip drives.

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that! My teenager has had the pleasure of reformatting her computer twice! We use a spy search and destroy tool and McAfee as well. It's unfortunate that these folks that release these things have nothing better to do with their time!ut:
