From a friend who works at the Federal Court House in Ottawa, Canada -just posted on their intranet re Internet Security:

Hi,

This is to inform you about a faked message currently in circulation sent by FaceBook (spoofed e-mail address). The message relates to a FaceBook account's password reset (see attached). Please, if you do have a FaceBook account, disregard such message and don't open the attachment embedded into the spam message.

The fake email is too large to upload here but it reads:

Hey xxxxx

Because of the measures taken to provide safety to our clients, your password has been changed. You can find your new password in the attached document.

I'm still getting these and of course never click on them - but my husband saw an article a few weeks ago that they actually caught the guy responsible for this. He runs an internet marketing agency, by the way. Talk about bad business practices...

Thank you for posting this! Why would someone do a thing like this? What are they going to gain by accessing your facebook account? I do not like these people, they really should get a life.
