Default Clean Your Computer
This is a nifty section of the Computer Hope website has a questionnaire that after you fill it out tells you how often you *should* clean your hardware and how to do it, what supplies you would need, etc.

http://www.computerhope.com/cleaning.htm

I was happy to find it!

Thanks for this! I must admit - I'm a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to things like this.

Alright. After seeing the picture on that site, I'm getting out the scrub brush! Thanks.

Apparently I need to do this, because when I saw the title of the post, I thought it meant cleaning off viruses, unused programs and files, etc from your computer - not physically cleaning it!

Thanks for the link - my laptop thanks you also!

We are fortunate enough to have a small air compressor. whilst probably not recommended, I use my vacuum cleaner to get the worst of the dust out of my computer. After that (not close up) the compressor is used to blow the fans through, you would be surprised just how much comes out. Really scarey.

Thank you Amanda for the great link! I've been cleaning my CD/DVDs the wrong way. There are a few other things I've been doing wrong, too.

8. Never eat or drink around the computer.

Are they serious?
