OK, I have hit a wall with my site.

I get that the metadata needs to go in the header of each page. I have used a Plug In (All in one SEO Pack) from wordpress. It has generated the tag code in the header.php, but when looking at the site it only has the title on the Home page. How can I get it on all pages? Is it possible or even needed?

Any input or suggestions are welcome.

Given my site is not finished (banner, some layout issues layout etc,) please be kind when looking if you need to...

BUMP! Is there anything else I need to add for SEO? How long does it take for the site to be indexed? How can I advance the rankings (ie get onpage 1).

Keywords and metatags are just one portion of SEO. It will take time to get on page one. From all I have read, the biggest indicator for getting to page one of Google are quality backlinks. It all goes hand and hand, but that seems to be a common thread. There are MANY others on here more qualified to answer than I am, and hopefully you will hear from them soon. Thanks Serita. I will check it out...actually I may already have. I have been researching this thing silly. I guess I expected immediate results to google my name and get a hit. No so, so I thought I must have done something wrong.

With All In One SEO you need to add the title, meta desc and keywords firstly on the plugin page itself, for the main page and then add them separately for each post or page. Just scroll down when typing a new post or page and you'll find the All in One SEO menu at the bottom.
