There are a ton of places you can list your website for FREE - it's time consuming, but well worth the investment and if you set aside an hour a day to do this doesn't end up being such a chore.

Most directories are set up to let you place a good keyword rich title (this is usually what will affect your Google search rankings as well so is doubly important) and space to write a nice, professional description of your services.

There is a shortlist in a thread on the forum here (with a few VA targetted directories mentioned as well as a list of 1,000+ free general directories you can use).

Just spending that one hour a day on this can make a huge difference in the amount of keyword related search traffic to your site and it's a good place to start because it's free (aside from your time investment)

Jackie, I think also making sure you have good content on your site is really crucial - the more well-used keywords, important page titles, and image alt tags you utilize, the more the search engines have to go on.

There is a TON of competition for VA's for the relative keywords people are using to find us - so amping that up on your site is really important too.

Thanks for the info. As a newbie, I had no idea of where to list my site for free. My budget to start out is 100 dollars. I already have an somewhat new PC. Would you believe that all essential software that I have downloaded so far is open source=free. I am really good about finding free services as well. Though I am a newbie, anyone who would like to know about my list of free services I received just let me know. Ciao!

We would love to know the free services you have found! List them under the "Resource" thread for all to see!

Any information or input you want to add that others will benefit from, please do so! This forum is to learn from each other...the Newbie’s and Veterans!
