How to ensure regularly changing content on your website – with ease!
There was a
wonderful article lately about ‘outsourcing’ your social media marketing to a virtual assistant. It talks about how it is reasonable to secure the help of an expert in launching your social media activities, and – in many cases – even maintaining your online presence for you.
It occurred to me that deepening the discussion a bit might be helpful. Let’s look, for instance, at ways a virtual assistant can help a business owner to establish and maintain a blog.
When you think about it, a blog is another name for any regularly changing content. That is, while most blogs are essays of sorts, it’s perfectly possible to satisfy the search engines’ hunger for changing content with podcasts or videos or even photos, as long as these are all properly tagged, titled, and described.
So, first of all, remember that a blog does not have to be based in writing. But whatever the medium you select (and many people use a variety of media), the process is simplified with the help of a VA.
You, as the business owner, need to have a hand in the development of content, that’s a given. But the formatting and presentation of that content, its accompanying bells and whistles, the sharing across the web, the management of responses, the building of links and
SEO …. well, that’s another story. Though tedious, all these tasks are necessary to successful blogging, once the basic content is created. Someone has to do them, or your efforts are wasted.
