Default Any real estate vas out there?

Hi, I am focusing on the real estate niche. I'm wondering if I should try to add something else since the real estate market is struggling a little bit. Do any of you have any suggestions?

The only suggestion I have to be open to the usual VA work, because I believe that the RE market is going to rise again.

DeAnna, The real estate market is definitely not struggling for Real estate agents who are focusing on short sales and banked own properties. BPO Agents are extremely busy right now taking buyers who are only interested in those types of properties. I definitely think its the best time to become a REVA.

We are needed everywhere and anywhere!!

You also need to consider the fact using a REVA vs. hiring in-house office staff is a cost-saving measure for agents/brokers. Just because the RE market is struggling in certain segments doesn't mean there is not a demand for REVA.

And as others said, the RE investors niche of the RE market is sizzlin' right now! As is the first-time homebuyer's niche market, due to the Obama administration's incentives for first time home buyers.

I would stick it out. I have recently added a new client, because she wants to do some extra marketing so she has the listing inventory when the market turns around.

I agree. With over 1 million agents in the U.S. and over 86,000 in Canada, there will always be savvy real estate professionals that are interested in our services.

My bit of advice would be to shy away from "newbie" agents and concentrate on the more established, top producing REPs. Usually good advice in any market.

The Spring market in my neck of the woods (Ontario, Canada) is starting to pick up a bit and Susan made a couple of terrific points about the distressed, investor and first-time homebuyer markets.

Best wishes for great success in real estate!

Cheers,
Pam
