Question Signature for client files
Hi Everyone,

I need some feedback on what signature to. I just picked up a couple of agents that I will be acting as Transaction Coordiantor for. I will be taking the file from contract to close.

My question is, since we each have our own companies, when working on agent files, do you only use your company name and signature or do you put your company name as Transaction Coordinator for John Doe, Agent?

Anyone else in this situation?

If you're acting on behalf of the client you should be representing them in your signature and not your own business.

Yes, usually you represent them in your signature but there have been cases where the client doesn't mind/care or even prefers that I use my own.

I will say that with one of my clients, have been with him for over 3 years now, he actually encouraged me to use my signature displaying my business but with an addition of "VA for Mr. Smith" above my company logo and below my name. I have received several projects and two clients that way. Of course, this was with his agreement and not all clients are that generous.

I would ask them for their preferences and go from there.

Ask them what they would prefer but generally you are "on behalf of".
