I'm posting this here because I am a real estate VA through a staffing agency and believe I might have secured my very first RE client outside of the agency. I've been itching to do this for some time now as the agency takes almost a 50 percent cut. The potential new client is looking for Web 2.0 work and Point 2 so I am quite pleased because this is what I do best. The problem is that I don't have any contracts and although I have been to the contract link here, there seems to be so many choices that I'm confused. So I was wondering if anyone would please private message me any samples of what they use for real estate clients.

Besides the contract, I think I am going to use Paypal merchant. If I read everything here on this fabulous website correctly, I can send out an invoice through Paypal merchant. Any other suggestions how to bill would be so appreciated. I bill by the hour with a 3 hour minimum; that's what I told the new client on the phone. I'm just having a hard time putting any kind of package together with a proposal so I am in dire need of just a list and some samples of what to send the new client. Thanks so much.

The best thing with regards to contracts is to compare several and pick what works for you. Unfortunately there isn't a one size fits all solution for VA contracts because there is so much variation in what we do, how we do it and who we do it for. If you look in the document library you should be able to find a really great client agreement (I think it was contributed by B Young, but posted by Tess) that you can doctor to suit you needs.

Thank you for your reply. Besides the contract, what else do I need to present to the client? I don't have a website yet so I'm stuck with using paper.

There is a great thread here on what type o things that you can include in a welcome packet.

I would just suggest that you try to inject some of your brand into what ever you preset to them....this is your time to shine and set yourself apart from the competition.
