Question REVA training
I'm not sure how many REVA's they are on the forums but as someone considering providing this service, I was wondering if I can get feedback on the different REVA training providers, the cost involved etc, general reviews.

Thanks!

Re: REVA training
Carla - I took the CREA certification through IREAA. It was very comprehensive and covered allot of the real estate terminology that I was not familiar with. Now that IREAA is disbanding, I am not sure if the certification is still being offered.

I would also suggest checking out the profiles of other REVAs to see what certifications they hold.

Hope that helps!

Didn't know they were disbanding.. I wonder what that means for my membership fee I paid a few months ago.. and what type of weight will their certificate hold now.

I have a real estate license so I chose not to get any certifications.

Tamika - are you a member of the Yahoo board for IREAA? There has been lots of discussion on there about how you are affected. Don't quote me but I understand that there will be no refund of fees because the website an the RFP section will be opn until next year. Any certifications that are midway need to be completed ASAP. I spoke to several people at IREAA (including Brandy S) and they were all very helpful to me in getting my certification done and dusted.

I am a little concerned about how much weight the certification will hold now they are disbanding.....but it was still a great course.

I just looked at that. So...has anyone here taken that course yet? Sounds great and quite affordable!

I currently assist a realtor, but it's very minimum. I just handle mailings and Craigslist posting. I wouldn't mind branching out in the future into other areas of assistance, though.

Look forward in seeing any more responses.

I have not taken this course as of yet. However, I have heard from many real estate professionals that they prefer this certificate.

I haven't had the need to take the course as I have been able to prove my abilities through my confidence and previous work complete. I think that if you are interested in learning about the industry, it wouldn't hurt to take it.

I might just take it for the sake of being an avid learner!
