Default Real Estate clients
Do you need to get Top Producer, Agent Office, or any of the other softwares to help them with there databases or anything for that matter. I know Top Producer is Web-based and is easy to get in but if someone has Agent office and want me to input contact info and then group them don't I need that software to do it in then export into thiers?

My real estate client added me to their TP account. Wouldn't do you any good to have a login that wasn't connected to their account. I've not heard of Agent Office

I used Agent Office with a client about 2 years back. If I remember correctly, I would work on her database and send her a 'back up' of her files so that she could update her database with the changes.

I haven't worked with it in quite a while so you got me curious... this is what I found out:

Top Producer 7iŽ, 8iŽ, - online application - monthly charges apply for users and an annual contract must be in place.

AgentOfficeŽ - Desktop software with full back up and export capability. Can be run online if wanted/needed. This is optional with AgentOffice software. Monthly per user fees apply to run online.

Hope that helps!

If you can manage it, it is always best to work under your clients login. This way they have the information immediately and can access it when they want. If you get it yourself, which would cost way too much money, then you will have to integrate it with the clients. That is a waste of time and money. You want to save yourself and your client all the time and money you can.

Good luck~
Andrea

Thank you guys so much! That really does help. I would always just get there log in info also but this is when I worked at the Real Estate Offices that they did and already had a relationship with them. So I was hoping I could continue that way now that I am strictly at home working.
Thanks again

Top Producer is a great program, but in order for you to set up their database for them or even update it you have to be in their account. They can either have you log in as them, or they can set up access by adding another login for you. If they plan to keep you on by way of retainer and this is something they will be having you doing for them longterm then it is worth the expense, but if it is a one time deal then I would recommend using their login.
As for myself, I plan to purchase Top Producer when I have a large enough client base to plug into it. It is a great program for generating mass mailings and for keeping on top of marketing yourself. When I used it as an assistant I also had reminders plugged in of activities that I had to do on an as needed basis.
Hope that helps you.

As a real estate VA, you do not need to purchase any of these programs. The agents purchase their program of choice and we just "operate" it. The agent "owns" the database, if you will, and we just help to maintain it.

Even with Closing programs like Settlement Room and RELAY, my clients own the program as they want it to be branded with their name and linked to their website.

However, I would encourage you to get training on as many real estate progams as you can (TP8i, AgentOffice, RELAY, Settlement Room, AgencyLogic, VisualTour,Postlets, etc.....) The more you know about how to operate the programs, the easier it will be for you to complete the client's tasks and partner with the client.

Have a great day!
