Default Need Ideas On How to Approach a Broker with my services, please
I saw an article in yesterday's newspaper about a large group of local agents who got together for a day of classes to discuss the state of real estate in Florida. One of the changes that the agents will beef-up are the use of photographs in their listings.

I work with a very successful agent from another state who takes 50 pictures per listing and keeps me busy with the stitching of panorama photos and posting to varying sites. (I do alot more with those photos but that's the gist.) I've written blogs for this agent about how taking good listing photos can make or break a sale. In Florida's terrible RE market, good photos will be an asset so I am excited to read this information.

Agents in my area do not take good photos and with the experience I have with the other agent, I'd like to approach them with my services and the benefits I can provide.

I'd like to put together a nice email but I've never done any email marketing. I only see one name in the article who actually made the recommendation to work on photographs so I'd like to start with this broker.

I don't know if an email is a good thing. I don't want to be too verbose either. Should I go with a personal email and then follow-up with brochures and a business card (don't have those either).

How would I word this appropriately?

Thank you.
Jan

Coming from a real estate marketing background you have a great idea! I think the photos are the MOST important thing when listing a property. Because each agent actually handles there own marketing I would approach your marketing to this group in two tiers. 1. Schedule a meeting with the BROKER to see if you can do a presentation to their agents during one of there weekly or monthly meetings(most offices have these) Put together examples of your work and before and afters of what you can do with the photographs on computer. make sure you have plenty of print material with your name on it to hand out to the agents.
2. Each Broker in your area should have a website that has a contact list of all of the agents in there office. take some time and collect the contact information of as many of the agents in your area as you can. Some other places that may provide you with that information could be a local MLS office or title companies. Do an email of what it is that you can do for them with before and afters and link it back to a better explaination on your website. This way they get more information if they want it and you get more hits on your website. You should really have your campaign of material you are going to use in order BEFORE you start. Real Estate is a very small knit community and once things start to go around about you good or bad every agent will know in a hurry. Do a great job for one or two agents and you are in!

I would invite the broker to your blog, and make sure you have comments from your current client. I also agree that photos can make or break a listing, and being a visual person myself prefer to look at listings that have a large number of pictures.
