My First Real Estate Office Presentation and I Could Use Some Suggestions
HELP!!!!
I am very excited. A Real Estate Broker called me and wants me to do a presentation next Tuesday. A do already have a presentation prepared, but it is a fairly generic one and I want to tweak it to work more towards Real Estate. She told me she had some ideas of what I could do for her business, but she wants me to do my presentation first before she tells me what her ideas are. She has one of the biggest Real Estate Offices in my area, so this could be huge.
I did use to be a Realtor myself, so I have an idea of what some of them like to do to promote their business, but I want to be sure I'm not missing some other types of things.
Does anyone have any ideas to help me with this?
This forum is always so awesome in helping me out in my hour of need. So I knew this would be the best place to start.

I personally would talk to her again and ask her what direction she is wanting to go and what she was wanting you to do. Let her know by understanding more of her wants and needs you will be able to present a better presentation geared towards her and her business. Of course, you will have your generic things added but by understanding her more you will be able to sell her on your specific skills she is looking for.
Hope that helps :-)

Re: My First Real Estate Office Presentation and I Could Use Some Suggestions
I currently have several Real Estate agents as clients and some of the things they have me do are:
1. Create charts in Excel from data they provide that they then use to show clients
2. Create and send out drip emails to prospects
3. Make follow up phone calls
4. Send out gifts, cards, calendars and other promotional items.
5. Bookkeeping
My largest real estate client handles bank owned properties. So their bookkeeping tasks include submitting reimbursement requests to the banks and following up by email and phone. They have also had me set up their New Employees file, post ads on Craigslist, and update their website.

You may want to find out how active they are on social networking sites. You could offer to help update their profile and respond to invitations on their behalf.

Re: My First Real Estate Office Presentation and I Could Use Some Suggestions
I am a Realtor (although I really just do friends and family now), but most of the challenges I see fellow agents have is with follow up. Following up of past clients. Staying on top of those "keep in touch" phone calls, birthdays etc. Some agents are also too busy to worry about details of a transaction and may need help with transaction coordination. Others might not be "graphically inclined" and/or need to redo their listing presentations and such. Those are areas that are sure to get some interest.

Also, let me add, Real estate is kind of slow on technology. Podcasting/blogging etc. might be things that Realtors have "heard about" but not sure how to do. This may be an area where you can add value.

I wish I could add value in the area of podcasting/blogging. That is one area I'm still trying to figure out for myself. Maybe that should be a thread in another area of this forum!!!

Tamika,
I think some agents are getting better about blogging, but would you explain to me what kind of podcasts they can do? That does sound sort of lucrative . . .
Thanks,
-Alice

I just started a wordpress blog a couple of months ago. I was terrified. But actually it was quite easy. Now I take just a few minutes each weekday to post a blog. Go ahead, give it a try. You can do it! It's something I hope to add to my list of services to offer clients.
