Okay, I have a question. My state (Alaska) put something on this chart that I cannot interpret:
"This law sets forth the requirements for a licensed real estate salesperson or associate broker to act as a licensed assistant to a real estate licensee other than the broker who employs the salesperson or associate broker".
I know it's referring to a statute, but I don't understand what it's saying. Any ideas?

Sharlynn, the statute that you asked about appears to refer to a licensed person (licensed as a sales or a broker) in an administrative function for another agency other than the one that holds their license. That's what it reads like to me does that make sense? It sounds like they are giving the law for what this 'assistant' as a licensed (in real estate sales) can do when working for another agnency other than the one that holds their sales license.

A word of caution is in order. If you read the third to the last item on the list for Illinois personal assistants, I think there would be great potental for being charged with the unauthorized practice of law (UPL). Interpreting legal documents is best left to an attorney.

Thanks that information was helpful. I live in PA and it appears there is not many restrictions which is a good thing. I am actually thinking about getting the credits I need to sit for the Brokerage License test here in PA.
