Default BOOK REVIEW - The First Real Estate Virtual Assistant Handbook
If you’re thinking about becoming a real estate virtual assistant, or if you’re already a real estate VA but could use a little insider info to help grow your business, The First Real Estate Virtual Assistant Handbook by Kim Hughes is a must-have for your business library.

I’ve read quite a few eBooks (and hard copy books, for that matter) that I felt were highly overpriced for the amount of information given. Because of that, I was a bit skeptical about the price tag on this eBook. When I sat down to actually read the book, though, I was pleasantly surprised by the in-depth detail that I found.

After a brief introduction about herself and how she got her start as a real estate VA (I don’t know about you, but I love hearing about how others became successful), the author dives right into the meat of the book. She helps readers discover their niche service offerings by providing a detailed list of possible services, such as calendar management, and showing exactly what’s involved with each one.

You’ll also learn ways to add value to your services to make yourself indispensable to clients. For instance, she lists several different programs you can use to send cards and/or gifts to your clients’ customers to thank them for their business or acknowledge birthdays, anniversaries, etc. In fact, The First Real Estate Virtual Assistant Handbook is filled with links to different programs and web sites that will help you provide the best possible service to your clients, along with sample forms to help you in your business operations. In my opinion, the links alone make the cost of the book worthwhile, and the detailed information provided in its pages icing on the cake.

In addition to containing a wealth of useful information for anyone who's considering real estate virtual assistance, the content is written in a conversational style that is fun and easy to read. I must say, this title is worth the investment!

This eBook contains 60 pages and can be purchased for $69.

Thanks for the great review Tammi!
I have to agree - I had a chance to read through the material and although I'm not headed in the REVA direction if I were going to pursue it *this* would be a bible of sorts.

Lots of meaty, useful content, unlike so many other ebooks out there.

Tammi

Thank you for reviewing this e-book. I started to purchase this several times but have been hesitant due to the cost. This will definitely go on my purchase list.

Thanks again!

I have ordered the book online. Is it an ebook or a hardcopy one as I haven't received a link to a download yet?

Thanks for this review! I keep hearing others talk about working as a virtual in the real estate market, but it's one of the few industries I've poked around in...this will be great for deciding if real estate is an area I want to pursue!

What I like about this ebook is that you get no-nonsense lists of what to do. This is often more helpful than lots of text without a structure or a list how to do things. I see this book more as a manual/workbook and that's a good thing. VAs often don't have the time to read longwinded stories, they need an exact list of what to do quickly. That's what the book delivers.

I’m trying to decide if RE is a good nitch for me. I’m having trouble finding out what you can do if you’re not a licensed agent. Sounds like this book would be a big help. Thanks for the review.

You don't need to be a licenced agent to help a real estate salesperson. You can do all the things, like flyer design, reminding them of their appointments, creating a listing sheet with the listing's details, etc. There is a lot of administrative and marketing stuff they have to do and you could help them with that.

I will add this to my list for when I want to expand services since I have mortgage insurance experience.

Thanks for the review! I've been on the authors mailing list for a while and have wanted to buy the book, but the cost always deterred me. I just got a new client, so maybe I'll buy the book as a reward!

I have a Real Estate License and have been an OA in a Real Estate Office for approx. 13 years and even the top producing agents do not use an assistant. Do the Real Estate agents in your offices use assistants? At first I thought it was the area, it seemed the areas outside of the metropolitan area utilized assistants. This was my first choice when starting my VA business but have not been successful with finding agents interested in my services in any capacity.
