Default What do you think of my rates?
Hi everyone, I've been doing a bit of research on my rates and I have come up with the below. Any thoughts appreciated.

1 - 5 hours per month £28.00

5 – 20 hours per month £25.00

20 hours + per month £20.00

I assume the rates are per hour? So if someone employs you for 4 hours, then the rate is £112.

What is it you do?

Apologies I had put the rates I had pencilled in before speaking to a few businesses in my area. my rates are:

1 - 5 hours per month £25.00

5 – 20 hours per month £20.00

20 hours + per month £18.00

In terms of what I do here is my website- which is still being worked on but hopefully gives an idea

I'm thinking about adding something to say various packages can be tailored to suit individual clients- or do you think I should stick to the same rates as much as possible

Jessica,

We do not discuss rates on the forum. I believe this is in the TOS too but it has been a while since I reviewed them. Anyhow, if you are curious how you compare you should do some competitive analysis. Keep in mind that most rates are based on years on service, experience and skill set.

Sorry. I didn't see anything in the Terms of Service. Thanks for letting me know

I agree with the cost comparisons. I set my rates in the middle for my bookkeeping services. The most important part, however, is to make sure that you are making a decent living, covering taxes (not sure what those rates are outside US) and not selling yourself short.
