Default Should I bill by the minute or increments?
I'm trying to figure out if I should be billing by the minute or in increments? I'm currently billing in 15 minutes increment. Is this okay?

What is the best choice?

I think it's a personal choice for whatever works best for your tracking system. Most clients I've run across are fine with either one and I haven't really had anyone ask specifically about it. I believe that if I had a client that was really hung up on whether I billed by the minute or in 15 min increments, then they might not be the client for me.

I do track by the minute for the work I do so I have that information on hand to send to a client with their invoice or if they ask how much time has been used. Most are pleased to get the report so that they know I'm not only tracking the time but they have a breakdown of how much time was spent on which task.

I do tracking by the minute, only because it's easier for me when I do my tracking sheets and invoices.

None of my clients have ever queried either (I did start out 15 min increments).

The choice is what works best for you. Personally, I bill in 15-minute increments. I know some who bill in 6-minute increments.

I started off billing by the minute but now I bill in 10 minute increments because its easier that way.

Just to be awkward, I'm somewhere in between!

On my invoice, I'll put the task and the exact time to the minute that was spent on it. If it was 5 mins, I generally just waive the charge; 5-20 mins gets charged at 1/4 hour rate; 20-35 gets charged at ½ hour rate; 35-50 gets charged at 3/4 hour rate and so on....

Clients always comment how they appreciate the amount of detail in my invoices and I've never had any billing queries yet (touch wood!!).

My preference is 15-minute increments. Makes my billing much easier.
