Default Question about Answering Calls for a Client
Hi all,
I could really use some help! I may have my first client, it's a business in CA and I'm in NJ. My big question is she'd like me to answer phones for her and make appointments, I would love to do this but how? She has no idea how to get started and neither do I...I looked up on the forums the two other conversations about this and I did send her a few suggestions so far 1) her sending me a prepaid phone and cards and taking it out of my pay 2) onebox and freedom voice does anyone have any others?
Also how should I bill, by the hour or a set fee? Please help??!!! I'm at a loss and sooo don't want to lose this chance!

Try Ringcentral. She can set up a phone line with them with extensions.

You would need to download the "call controller" to your computer and set it up to forward to your home phone when she gets a call. You can have it show the ringcentral number on caller ID so you know to answer it as her business.

Yes, I agree with Christina. I personally use Ring Central services. I have a toll free line and fax, that I am able to create specific business lines and answering systems for each of my clients, with my one Ring Central Line. I really like them because they have 24/7 technical service to help you set up and a lot of different options that are beneficial for a VA. Hope this helps...

I could only advise about the billing as I do not experience with phone service before. You should use the fixed monthly charge in advance, so if somehow it turns out excess the original bill, you can always return it...

Hi - I have My1Voice - it's only $11 a month and the perk is that if I miss a call it emails me the voice message. Also you can set up your hours of availability so that the calls will automatically go to a particular voicebox outside of those hours.
