Default Not How Much, But HOW LONG?
I was wondering if anyone might know of some kind of listing, some where, on HOW LONG it takes (on average) to complete certain task, or services?

I'm self-taught in a lot of areas and so I don't know how long it takes other people to do certain things. I have no standard or comparison, and I think having a general idea of how long it takes others to complete certain tasks, would be very helpful to me in gauging my progress and results.

For example . . .

How long (on average) does it take to put together approx. 15 minute Power Point presentation? (With the graphics, and much of the written content provided, but not organized, ect. And, the rest of the presentation undone.)

How long (on average) does it take to do the cover and inside layout of a 40 to 50 page ebook that has over 40 photos?

How long (on average) does it take to do research for writing content for a website, or designing/ writing marketing materials for a new industry?

I know these are fairly broad questions, and many factors can come into play in determining an answer, but I'm not looking for exactness, or specifics. Just a general idea, or some kind of average would be great. Or, even just a link to find some answers would be great.

Thank you!
I appreciate any/all of your help!

I found this previous post with a list of tasks that a VA can complete in an hour -- it might be helpful for you.

Thanks for the response, but apparently I have to have 25 post before I can view it. I'm not quite there yet, but . . . I'm working on it.

Anything available for a newbie?

Hi Girl! Nice to see you here. How long fully depends on the capability of the staff member (or yourself if solopreneur). Try asking a friend to send you some content, pics etc and time yourself. Then have a coffee/hot drink/break and then go back in and touch it up.... and measure that time as well. That way you'll have a good feel for what you can do, and what you can do given a few more minutes etc. Just an idea that might help you measure what you can do for your clients rather than taking someones word for it. One of the things I have learned (the hard way) is when working internationally, clients can't expect you to answer emails immediately - therefore if it is urgent they need to ring you ... lol I got one assignment emailled to me with no notice it was on it's way and (being human and needing to sleep) when I woke up and opened my emails the deadline had already passed! It's funny now but I wasn't impressed when it happened. Be sure they know when they can send things to you for timepressed assignments, in addition to what they can expect done in that time :-) Hope that's helpful.
