Question Need help with some pricing....
Hello! I have a client who needs a design for a pole banner. I can get it all done but do not know what to charge. Has anyone done a pole banner or have an idea of what would be a good rate for this project? Please advise.

I haven't created something like this but when in doubt I would suggest just charging hourly.
I'll be curious to see if anyone else has any input on pricing this particular project.

Me too, but I was reading other posts last night and it seems like VAF does not encourage talking about pricing on the threads. Thank you for your input. I did some research and went with the approximate amount of time and dedication I would put into it. Hopefully I get the green light.

BTW Tess, I have not been on here for a while. Do you have updates about your baby here on VAF? Best wishes for you and your loved ones during the holidays and the new year to come!

I have not done a pole banner. How long will the entire design take you? Is this simple graphic work or web as well? I would also go with an hourly rate; however, if it does not take but an hour or less, simply charge your standard hourly rate.

Just my thoughts...

Thank you. It could take about 2 to 3 hours to get done.

@Tess: I saw the pictures of your baby . She is beautiful!

Viviana, I read this post because I was interested at how you were going to come up with a price for your project. Sometimes, the hardest part about offering services is trying to figure out what to charge a client. Especially if it's a new client, and they're skeptical as as far as hourly rates. Some new clients don't quite grasp the idea of a person sitting in their own office and working on a project for them. That's been my biggest hurdle so far with clients.

But -- on the brighter side -- I wanted to add in some comments about your album and photos of your beautiful baby, Tess. She is adorable!!!! Hey, and hubbie's quite the cutie pie as well. No wonder you were inseparable from the moment you saw him! (I just read the newly posted thread on how you got started as a VA.)

You have a beautiful family, Tess! Happy holidays to all!!!!
