Default How much are you....
I don't know if I can technically ask this question, however I am curious to know what people are actually making on a monthly basis doing VA work. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm not entirely comfortable answering this question with a number...but I will say that we make enough that the company is the only source if income for our family. Our taxes each quarter are relatively unpleasant

Since my business is only one of three my husband and I have, I can tell you my contribution to the family income from this business is about a third of the total.

My business income is enough to fully support myself (I'm single). In a couple months my sister and nephew will be moving here and will be living with me for about a year or so. I'll be supporting the three of us for the most part.

I make a decent part time income and I think it's at a good level considering I just had my one year anniversary. My income is not enough to keep me in the lifestyle that I had become accustomed to, so I do work a PT job as well. I have a few clients that bring a consistent income and then I have a few that fluctuate.

This thread is very encouraging for us newbies. My plan is to be fully self-sufficient, without the need for a corporate job, by the end of 2009. I think a good question would be: How long did you work in your business before you were able to use it as your only source of income?

Not if you put them to work Lanel!

My 5 & 6 year old LOVE to help 'Mommy at work', they help file, get papers off the printer, vacuum the office, play Solitaire and Mine Sweep on the computer for me, un-sort my office supply drawer and use up all my printer paper! But they think they're helping and if I"m lucky maybe learning a thing or two!

Hi

We make enough to survive the growing costs here in S. Florida. It's really unbelievable how much everything has gone up and it's nice to know that unlike so many who are being laid off or actually having to take a cut in pay here, I can work a little more and still have enough money to have fun with the family.

What's good too is to see every year that increase in income. As I get more specialized and learn more about ways I can earn more money without putting in the hours (like passive income ideas), it hopefully will continue to increase.

That's so cool that the 5 & 6 year old get involved in your business Viki. They must love having mom around. I truly believe that that alone is priceless. I feel my kids are going to be a lot more motivated and dream-oriented from seeing me do this. My 14 year old has already gotten a few awards for her poem writing. She's really good. Makes me so proud.

Thanks!

Congrats to your daughter for her poems and to you for being a great role model!

We used one of your books as our text book in a VA Special Topics class I took last term and I still refer to it for advice, thank you!!

The boys are the reason I took one of the buyouts Ford offered last year...everyday they teach me patience and to use my imagination!

So far, I've almost earned enough to cover my start-up costs, and have enough in the bank to pay the credit accounts I opened in my business name.
