Question How to charge a service
Hi everyone,

I'm sure most of you offer services that do not require much time to do. For instance, a restaurant reservation, an appointment setting and/or confirmation. For my per-project assignments, I charge a minimum of two hours, how can I charge those services that don't require much time? I really need your opion.

Thanks,

Karla

If you are working with someone and they know your minimum is 2 hours then I strongly suggest you re-iterate that to the client. Remind them of your minimum number of hours. You may get more work to do and or they may do it themselves. But, at least your sticking to your own policy.

I charge a 1-hour minimum, with 15 minute increments after that. I have found that the few non-bookkeeping clients I have worked with were happy to make me a list of items to be handled that would take at least an hour combined...

Hi guys,

I have thought of bringing down a minimum of one hour just for those project that do not take longer than an hour. What do you think of that?

Hi all, I do a minimum of 3 hours per project. I was wondering if I have set my minimum hours too long?

Hi Angela,

I guess it depends on the type of services you provide. Currently, my minimum is two hours but was thinking of reducing it to one, due to the types of services I provide.

What about charging a flat rate?? Or even a discount for "5 concierege services" to make that 2 hour minimum
