Default Does anyone do article submissions?
I need some advice about (1)what to charge --sort of a range so I can see if what I'm thinking is right

and

(2)whether to charge a setup fee.

A colleague has decided to give up this particular client because she is moving her business in a different direction. The client seems interested in working with me.

Thanks.

I charge per hour as well - why would you charge a set up fee??

I've read where some VA's charge setup fees so they'll have a chance to get some [I]housekeeping[I] done-- like (1)changing the email account login information from another VA to yours. Especially if there's a lot of submissions every month for the client; or (2) learning time. The learning time idea always brings a mixed bag of theories which always leaves me in a quandry.

I personally charge my hourly rate. Instead of charging a setup fee, I would just let the client know that there is some setup time and an additional hour will be charged for that time.
