Default What Calendar can I use (besides Google)
I've been having a hard time with scheduling my client, who lives in NC, while I live in TX, events on Google calender because the time zone thing is so off. I switched to Keepandshare only to find that they do not have a mobile phone app, which my client needs. Can anyone advise of a great calender, that is online and provides a mobile application for my client, where I can update on my end and she can also see correct times on her end? Also, I'm looking for a free one

I think that google is top notch so it's hard to one up that. What types of issues are you having, maybe I can walk you through working them out?

PS I grew up in Carrollton! ( between there and Miami actually ). My dad still lives there.

Have you had a look at www.tungle.me? It seems to sync with lots of calendars and can be used from your mobile etc. My understanding is that the scheduling adapts to the different time zones etc. I haven't actually used it, but did sign up to have a look quite a while ago and thought it was quite good.

Tungle is a great alternative since it syncs with most many calendars and mobile devices. I have not used it though for clients of different time zones, for that I used Google Calendar.

Hi,
Can you tell how you accomplish the time zone difference when updating a clients calender located in a different time zone?

Google Calendars selects the time zone based on your IP address, to set up a different time zone try this:

In calendar settings of the calendar you are updating go to Settings:
  • See Your current time zone and select an additional time zone using the time zone of your client
  • After saving you will then see a swap option (little blue text link) off to the right of the Your current time zone
  • Select swap and it will flip your time zone and that of your clients
  • Click save and that should allow you to save the appointments in their time zone.

If this does not work you can always try sending a message to Google calendars help team but I am thinking that this may be the answer that you are looking for.

You should look into a cloud computer, try www.airset.com; I use it to keep my client appointments together, I add their name to my cloud computer as a user with me being in control, I have the options of sending them reminder email, text or both. You personal cloud computer is free, if you add a Business cloud, it's $4.95 a month. You can syn google calendar with it and you can change the times. Hope this is helpful.
