Default TeamLab
I've tried nearly every project management application out there, I can highly recommend TeamLab to other VAs. It's free and once your client is set up on it, they can login to request jobs, you can then mark it as complete when it's done and dusted. The client will then receive an email when it's completed. It's also got a handy time tracking and real time chat feature.

I've posted a few times on here about PM systems and I too have settled on Teamlab. With the calendar release and CRM beta, I'm happy.

I have tried them all, free and paid, there was just something I disliked about every one.

Hi Dani, I agree. Sometimes PM applications are too complicated, not in the way I don't understand them, but they offer more than I need, therefore charging more than I need to pay. However, ticketing applications like ZenDesk and Assistly ($9 a user for ZenDesk, free for a solo user on Assistly) can act as project management applications too which I may look into, as clients can log a request with their account (set up by the VA of course).

Oh let me know how you go with those!

What would be the difference between that and the accounts we setup in Teamlab?

Nice to meet you by the way =)

Nice to meet you too!

I tried the trial (well.. the whole point of a trial is to try..!) for ZenDesk but I honestly thought it was too advanced, not that I didn't know how to work it, but because the features were too many for what I need. I haven't tried Assistly but for a solo VA it could be perfect (I'm not a solo VA, I run a small VA company) - you could sign up for a trial.. I think it's either 15 days or 30 days free trial without having to enter any credit card details. Last night I came across a site called Projify which sounds great, I've got a lot on today so not had the chance to sign up but from what I can see it has a shared calendar, ticket/helpdesk system, shared files, etc. Unlike it's competitors it charges per project and not per user. It's 5 Euros per project and you can easily add on that small charge on your invoice to the client. Worth checking out.

I just had my first consultation yesterday with a potential client. He mentioned to me that he really needs to get organized but he couldn't put into words what exactly he needed organization with so one of the other VA's on the board told me to suggest project management software. I came in here to look for options, saw yours and I think TeamLab is what I'm going to suggest. It's free and he has a small office with a few employees so I think this may just work for him.

My favorites are Basecamp, My Intervals and now Mavenlink via Google Apps which is what I'm using now.
