Smile Groove Virtual Network
Hello all,

I have one quick question. Has anyone ever heard of Groove Virtual Network, if so have you used it and how do you like it?

Actually I got it off a list of "Ten Handy Tools for the Savvy Virtual Assistant" I found on "Deskdemon" http://us.deskdemon.com/pages/us/va/.../tenhandytools. I, myself, have never heard of it or used it before and when I tried to do a search on it, I could never really get enough information on it. I came across a site that just has you to download the software, but it doesn't give you enough information about it and then there is the Windows version, which you found Tess, that I'm not quite sure is the same thing.

This Grooves Virtual Network is supposed to be a way for VAs to keep in touch with their clients. Here is what the quote from the article says:

"Groove Virtual Network is a great tool for keeping in touch with clients far and wide. Maintain a sense of teamwork between yourself and your client as you can do virtually anything in Groove. You can hold online meetings, store files and folders, save threaded discussions, scribe on whiteboards, share calendars, and track project information and timelines."

Since I couldn't find anything real on it, I was wondering if anyone else had ever heard of it and used it before.

Hi

I think you might be talking about Microsoft Groove. I haven't used it but it comes as part of the Microsoft office 2007 package. It looks quite interesting but I haven't had the time to check it out for my business yet.

Groove is a pretty nice software tool. I've been using it for about four months now and it really helps a lot when collaborating on projects. It has some good communications functions in it as well. There is a bit of a learning curve with it though but it is well worth it once the basics have been figured out.

I have been checking MS Groove myself. I have it with my Office 2007 and thought it might come in handy. If anyone has anymore to experience about this, please let me know.

Does anyone know how Groove (which I have but have never even investigated) & Microsoft Live Small Office compare? I don't think Microsoft does a very good with clarity when it comes to explaining how things work.

I have Groove since it came with Office 2007. I haven't had time to look at it. This morning I started looking at its features and how it works. Here's a link to get started. It looks like it will take some some to learn but I heard good things about it! HTH
