Does anyone used it? or has anyone had any experience with it?

What do you think?

I'm looking for some free software to keep me organised, I've got Creative Pro Office but it still seems to have some issues working with Vista so I can't get the full benefits out of it.

I signed up for it, but the free version only allows up to two clients, and I'm not willing to pay a monthly fee to use someone's software. I'd rather pay for it once and be done with it.

You might try airset.com. It is free and has a lot of functions, and there is no limit to how many clients you can set up.

I am considering Client Spot to have my future clients upload projects to me and I can manage them from that area. It seems to be a very simple program to use. Some other VAs use Basecamp.

I am also considering using www.office.com which is a virtual office type set up. I think that particular software will really keep me completely organized but not sure how it would work in regards to collaborating projects with my clients. Oh and it's free for a basic set up--which is all I need right now.

I use Client Spot and I pay the $15/mo fee so I can have my logo on it and work with more than two clients at once. I like it. It's straightforward and easy to use, no big learning curve. So far it has everything that I've needed and I like that it lets me identify which clients are retainer and to input how many hours per month they have. Then it keeps track of how many hours used vs. how many total they get per month.

Thanks guys, I might download all the ones you've recommended inc client spot and have a play about with them. I'm not really up for paying a monthly fee at the moment, maybe when I'm generating some income I can consider it, but for now I would like a free one that is easy to use and track things like to do lists and hours.

I use quickbooks for my finance so that isn't an issue.

I use Client Spot and like with anything you get what you pay for. I started with the free version and grew into the now I think $29/per month version because my business grew.

So you don't need to pay unless you have the clients of offset the cost. But for the money it is worth it. It's easy to use, web-based so my clients have access to their project information 24/7 which keeps my email and phone questions down.

Also, I can track hours both hourly and retainer and provide reports if necessary. It will automatically send out email updates (if you want) to clients when project has been updated and vice versa if they add a project for me.

I really like it and think it's worth checking out.

Thank you Monique! good to have the opinion of someone who actively uses it. I guess it's right what you say, once I need the additional services I will be in a position to want to pay for it.

I'm testing out ClientSpot as well.

Currently I am using OnStage. The free version gives you 10 active projects, unlimited users, and the ability to redesign the site with your logo and custom colors. You also have the ability to grant access to users/clients to only the areas that you choose.

It was recommended by another VA here on the boards (sorry I can't remember who it was

I was just talking with a long time VA in my network about this very subject. We both have found Client Spot not to have all we want. We prefer BaseCamp. However, I've found Google now has free tools that I like best. Try out Google Docs, Google Calendar, Google Talk, their new browser and anything else Google does.
