Barbara, I've not really needed such a thing for locals, until now when I'm working at distance. I've played around with Zoho but, so far, I'm not keen on it. It says it does wonderful things but, unless I'm missing something, it doesn't tell you exactly how to configure it.

As I try to keep costs low for both myself and my clients, I'm going to take a look at Central Desktop and Clientspot. I also keep in mind the ease of use as busy people don't want to waste time jumping through hoops and some are not too computer savvy either. ut:

Great article. I bookmarked this so i can go through all. I've been looking around at these for about a week now. this was a very comprehensive list and had some I never heard of.

I subscribed to ClientSpot before and it was pretty user-friendly but had to cancel as I find it too simple. I now use Manymoon - there's a free version and almost similar to ClientSpot which provides also the same services. I like the new updated interface of Manymoon too.
