I have a brochure, but it doesn't list pricing. The front is the emotional grabber - why they *need* a VA. The inside lists my services and why they would want to hire me specifically, and the back is the description of a VA (as supplied by ************ and IVAA) with my contact information.
I don't list my prices for a few reasons. The main reason is that the pricing tends to scare off people that don't realize the benefits of outsourcing - if they see that $30, $40 or $50 per hour price tag, some of them run screaming without even fiinding out what we do. The other reason is that if I change my pricing, I have to reprint my brochures - LOL.
My brochure is geared towards whats in it for them and some elements from my site, I also included a couple of case studies, as well as my hourly rate with details of a retainer package.
No I would not include a rates list with the brochure 1. if you change your rates than you have to reprint brochure, as pointed out above (sorry for pointing it out twice)
2. Not all my services would be priced the same, so if I put in one rate than I would have to charge that amount. I would just ask them to contact me with regard to rates.
I hand out my brochures at networking events. When I first started I mailed them out to people I knew sort of as an announcement that I was in business.
Our local coffee shop has places for people to leave information so I have left some there as well.

I'm going down the road of sending my brochures so this is helpful to me as well. My price list is not included in my brochure. I direct them to my website for a more detailed view of my services as well as my rates.
I agree with the other young lady that the brochure should not be time sensitive and that it would be too costly to change your brochure every time you changed your rate.
I just finished my brochures!! I sent them over to kinkos and had them print like 50 (they are nice, in color, shiny and they FOLD them for me). I handed them out with my card to a service business that used me for a project. They don't have a lot of space and didn't want flyers so it was great of her to ask of brochures with my business card stapled to them. I also didn't put prices on mine as I want them to get to the website or to talk to me to give them the quote. The brochure should not be a snapshot of your site (well mine aren't) but all the reasons they NEED you and what you can do to help them. I am on my 3rd round of marketing with post cards....I sent out one round and then sent out another round to the same businesses like 2 months later (so they can say...I saw that business before) and I got like 10% calling or contacting me from my site and I added 10% of those. Now I am on to the next "industry".
