Default Seeking an online company to develop old film
Hello,

I thought I might put this out there...

I have some old film dating from the 1950's through to the 1980's that I would like to develop.

I have Dynachrome 8mm, Kodachrome II, Kodacolor X 620, Altipan 21 Lumiere Panchromatique and Kodak Tri_X Pan film to develop.

I recall that Kodak stopped production of the Kodachrome line of film and that there was only one business owner in the US who developed the film but would discontinue that service this year.

So I was wondering if anyone could suggest any other online film developing service.

I've checked around a local camera stores and no one develops old film.

I want to use some of this film for a blog.

Thank you.

Janine

PS - I did find this company http://www.rockymountainfilm.com/oldfilm.htm but was looking for others since they don't develop everything I have. Thanks.

Janine, did you ever find a company to handle this for you? It sounds like you needed some seriously specialized assistance.

The only thing I've ever had done was to get a few 'old' VHS tapes (from the 80s ) put onto disc.

I found one company/lab that developed old film but I had my reservations because I couldn't find any reviews about the company.

Sorry I didn't answer Rhonda's question...this is film that I inherited when my father passed away. I seem to be the family curator...my mother sends me old pictures, slides and rolls of film that she finds in boxes she's packed away since their home was sold. None of it is labeled so I have no idea what is on it.

You wouldn't believe the types of film I have....not just rolls. I have discs and strange looking slides along with reel-to-reel in metal cases.

Thanks for resurrecting the thread. Perhaps someone else has some ideas.

Janine
