Default Networking Events - Informational Packets?
What types of things do you put in an informational packet to take to networking events? The obvious thing, business cards, always go with me but I need something else I can hand someone who might be interested. Also, should I put together an entire packet (almost like a welcome kit) or just a few little things (a business card, maybe a flyer/postcard??).

Thoughts???

Thanks!

I'd just go with a business card and maybe a brochure. I don't hand out brochures though. If there is a place for promotional material, I put the brochures there. For example last week there were seminars put on by our Chamber of Commerce for small business week. I cliped a pen to a brochure and left five or six of them on the table at the back of the room. That way anyone who wanted one took one. Quite a few were picked up.

I usually just bring my business cards to large events. People are getting so much information that I don't want my brochure to get lost in the sauce..

Some networking events call for brochures and more, but for the most part I just do the business cards.

I like to attach a small bag to the brouchures - inside the bag would be few small candies (chocolate kisses, or something similiar) along with business card, small envelope opener and a coupon for a special discount.
