I love the idea of always advertising...I am thinking the back window cling would be better based on the cons of the Magnetic Car Sign.

I too have the magnetic signs but I am thinking they are a bit small and I wonder how much someone driving past can read. I am thinking the website name on the back of the window might work better?

I printed my own magnetic signs. I went to Staples and bought some sheets. They came from Avery and were $12.95 for 10. I printed in big letters, along 2 lines, just my website, then cut them out and they make 1 long, and large, banner. bookkeepingbysquire.ca That about says everything for me. I actually haven't had a chance to use them yet (long and funny story) but I was just planning on putting one across the back door when everytime I was out, taking it off if I left the car in an unsavoury neighbourhood and putting it on the side of the car and just troll around on occasion. If they do get stolen or fly off then I can just print more. Also if it flies off then you can consider it a roving ad.

Kim.

I got my very first client ever from a huge magnetic car sign that I had on the back of my Suburban! Funny thing was...it was a neighbor...she followed me home from a local shopping area (not knowing it was me) and she wrote down the info and went to my website when she got home and told me how she followed me up to my driveway while she was writing down the info from my sign. If I was going to do one again, I would put a QR code on the sign so that people could scan it when they walked by my car in parking lots, etc...

I think the magnetic signs have more impact when on a larger vehicle. I drive a minivan. The two side ones cover most of the side rear doors and on the back there's a banner that goes right across from side to side below the rear window so that's all folks have to look at while stopped in traffic. The windows are dark tinted so window decals don't show up at all, but then neither does the dogdrool and noseprints

I purchased a few car door magnets from vistaprint, and i have to say so far so good. They havent fallen off, and i have generated a bit of interest from having them on my car..

I also think though, that the window decals are great.. im looking at having this put on my car soon.

Sonni,

I haven't used magnets specifically but when I ran a home-based resume writing business I did have a rear window sticker (like, a big one that covered the whole rear window but that you could still see through from within the car). This generated quite a lot of business for me. I think when you're sitting in traffic, you're more likely to be looking at the back of the car in front of you rather than what's on the door to the car to the side of you, if you know what I mean.

It wasn't cheap (maybe $280-$300) but when you think how much driving you do and how much exposure your car gets, it's fairly cheap advertising really.

Cheers!

Keri
