I haven't use magnets before, I always wonder if they really get notice... its hard when driving and I pass a car displaying a magnet on its side... most of the time I don't know what the magnet reads.

One of my clients was complaining she purchase a set of expensive magnets for her car and one got stolen... so there is a risk there.

I like better the window decals they are more noticeable to me anyways.

Thanks Janine

I think I will purchase some after I have decided on a permanent business card style.

I bought some from Vistaprint but they were flimsy, only lasted a year and would fly off at speed, but they were cheap ... you get what you pay for.

Many magnetic signs you see out and about are full of swirls and graphics and, by the time I've noticed it, it's gone and the only word I caught was "plumber" or something.

I've recently acquired new signage from a great local company, very durable and will last 3 to 5 years but they weren't cheap. I went with the logo, "Executive Secretarial Services", website url and phone number. They're big and splashy but simple so the message is taken in immediately. In the 2 weeks I've had them on I've had several people ask me about my business.

There are pictures in the photo album on my website if you'd like to take a look and get some ideas.

Lynne

Personally, I prefer the window decals as well - no worry about them sliding off, falling apart, or getting stolen. Not to mention I think they are more visible (when placed in a back window, for example).

We've had the magnetic signs and they DO come off. It seems like the window stickers last pretty well. I've used 'bumper stickers' in our car windows too. They do generate calls, but you have to get your point across with very few words.

Stickers are not a bad Idea. What did you put on them? Business name and website or phonenumber?

We put our business name, slogan & phone number. There's a few places on the internet where you can make-your-own that are not expensive.

I have a vinyl cutter and when my husband started his excavating business, I lettered all the company vehicles right on the door. It looks good asnd we have gotten a lot of calls saying they seen the truck parked at a job sight or whereever. I am going to do window stickers for my personal vehicle for my business, this way I am always advertising my business, even when I am not wokring.
