Default Door Prizes
Hello All:

I have been going to alot of meetings and gatherings that most people bring door prizes to give away at the end of the meeting. It is another way to promote your business. Does anyone have any suggestions on what are some good door prizes for VA's? I can think of alot of Office Supplies but not sure that is what is needed. Any suggestion is greatly appreciate.

Thanks,

I give out grocery tote bags that have my logo embroidered on them as door prizes. They are great bags to have and relatively inexpensive - the bags are $6.95/ea plus shipping and make great door prizes at networking meetings.

If you wish to purchase one with YOUR logo embroidered on it, they are available here from Queensboro. There is no charge to digitize your logo and they have a minimum purchase requirement of 4 items! I have also purchased tank tops, aprons, a padded laptop messenger bag, and multiple other items from Queensboro. The embroidery quality is excellent and the warranty can't be beat.

I also bring brochures (llc basics and small biz tax info) and postcards (my mailing version) and leave them at the sign in table (if there is one, of course) at networking meetings for anyone who is interested.

May I ask you a question? I added my company name it is RG&B Office Administrative Specialist LLC but it comes out like this...

RG&B Office Administrative Specialist LL

Do you know why? Or where I can find out why - and my picture shows up on my profile but not when I post a thread.

Bobbie - The ampersand distortion (&amp) is code, and you might be able to correct it by writing it thusly: RG\&\B. Not sure where you're trying to list it ... in your settings here? Maybe try writing it as RG & B (i.e., include spaces).
Add your picture in the Edit Avatar section of your settings. The profile picture just shows on your profile, but the avatar shows on the forums.

Like the bags- great price, useful, and great to have floating around. Walking ads, how great!

Hi Bobbie - I think a voucher for something you are great at or a discout on editing so that it encourages people to experience a VAs services where they may not have tried one before. Just something that would take you five to ten minutes with your expertise but to others may take an hour or so at least.

I have literally bags of bags from events I've been to, likewise I have a shoebox of pens from various hotels and conferences. I've started to collect them since I've noticed just how many I have. People laugh at my collection and I have a good chuckle every now and then at how many pens one can collect from staying in hotels and attending conferences, and most of the time I hardly use them because if you've ever opened them up they're only a third (if not less) full. They don't tend to last long if you do use them.

In saying that I do love bags and I have come to think fondly of pens too Food for thought - just wanted to throw a different idea in the mix to ponder on.
