I hadn't even thought of this...

I just returned from a Volunteer Breakfast held at the school where the African Library Project was held. While I was there several of the business partners (local businesses which contribute to school activities in return for promotion on the school's site and events) sat at my table.

Needless to say, I captivated (yea, that's the word) the attention of small business owners in a discussion about blogging, setting up social networks, adding video and so on to their sites. I don't typically network locally but I offered up information which I thought would be useful. Not sure if anything will come of it but I totally forgot that if I volunteered, there would be an opportunity for a free networking event; plus I had a nice breakfast.

I say this...for anyone who wants to volunteer, the benefits are outstanding.

If anything at all, it was an opportunity to practice my pitch.

I think it's just incredible what you've done - really a neat direction for you to focus your generosity, etc. And what an awesome release!

I also learned that one of the libraries in Republic of Malawi which received the last shipment of books will not only be used for the school but for the village community as well.
