Hi Carmen,
It's still sitting in my draft box. I wouldn't be as worried about it if I didn't work full-time for a marketing communications firm with Public Relations coworkers who regularly scoure
PR sites for info. I think they'd be much more likely than the average Joe to find my release. I'm friendly with all of them, so it's not like I think they'd rat me out to the big bosses, but I just don't want to put anyone in the position to have to keep my secret. On the other hand, I've been getting my name out there on all kinds of networking sites, including LinkedIn, which my boss, some coworkers, and several of my employer's clients are members of, so I guess I'm already taking the risk that someone will find me. Might as well go all out, right?
It's a catch-22; you want to broadcast your business to the world so you can get new business and quit your J O B, but you have to somehow keep your employer from finding out. It's definitely not easy!
Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
