I submitted my press release a couple of days ago and this morning, a VA friend of mine forwarded me a link to it. It apparently showed up in her Google Alerts! How cool is that?! Woo hoo!!

I'm so excited and I just had to share!

Congratulations! I just read the release and I must say, it is very good.

How very intriguing that you are going to have a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of your business. Where did you get that idea from? I mean, it is common amongst brick and mortar businesses, but would never have really thought to have one for a Virtual Assistant business. Very cool indeed.

Thank you both so much! I'm SO excited about this too!

Darlene - The idea came from my Chamber of Commerce. When I joined they asked me about having a ribbon cutting ceremony and since I'm not a brick & mortar business, it took some creative problem solving to make it work. The Chamber is being extremely accomodating and allowing me to hold the ceremony in their meeting room. I'll have my laptop there with my website up and the ribbon will be hanging across my computer. I thought that was a great idea...and very creative. I've invited some local businesses and city council so hopefully, I'll have a good turn out. Fingers crossed! Lol!

Kari the ribbon cutting ceremony idea sounds great. I think the support you are getting from your Chamber of Commerce is also wonderful too. Be sure to take pictures and post back to let us know how it went. Good luck!

I've never thought of a virtual ribbon cutting done the way your Chamber of Commerce suggested you do it. It's a brilliant idea!

You should have a drawing for an hour or two of free services so you can collect their business cards ...
