Default Do you use Watermarks?
Hiya!

Do you use the 'Draft' watermark on your initial product for client review?

Hi Viki

I save a file as 'draft xxxx v xx' until the final version when I'll rename it. I do use a watermark, however, when sending a completed piece of work to a new client who has yet to pay...

Do you also pdf? I've never done it before either so I'm wonder...simply a water mark doesn't seem like it would do much good since all you have to do is turn it off.

Make it a great day!

The read-only thing will only work with certain docs. Unless it's heavily formatted it would be easy to just copy it all and paste it into a new document... I think PDF with watermark is probably the safest bet - at least until you're comfortable with your client.

I watermark and PDF; and for design clients I also post to a web page with the right click disabled. I also use a poll website where I post the sample images so the client can choose.

I create the document in pdf and also use watermark with the name and verison. I used to print a hard copy and use special paper that printed void if they make copies. It was great but costly for smaller jobs.
