Default Re: Do you have a Privacy Policy on your business website?
I was informed recently by a Website Designer/Programmer that in the State of California it is the law that any website providing products or services to anyone in California must have a Privacy Policy on their site.

Is there anyone here in California that can confirm this requirement? I am in the process of adding to my site because I agree it is what's right however, I would like to know for clients if this is correct.

Hi all,

I planned on putting a privacy policy on my website when it's finally finished. Thanks anyway for the suggestions. I love you guys.

Privacy is such a major issue these days. You may not require it for your website but it sure goes a long way to show your commitment if you do post a privacy policy on your site. I think it is absolutely essential in your contracts.
