Hello everyone -

I'm an "emerging" va hoping to get started with my business this fall and I have a question regarding offering bookkeeping services.

I worked with Quickbooks in a small office and I knew who to bill and what amount based off my boss' schedule, receipts, and contracts. He also gave me check stubs once paid.

How does it work, being virtual, getting the info for AP/AR? Is it sent you you directly? Faxed to you from your client? Or does it depend on the client?

I get my info via email, fax, snail mail, and I have one client that drops it off 1x weekly...

I found another thread on this same subject earlier today as well and it makes sense. As I'm trying to convince a customer that a VA is the way to go, I didn't want to make more work for them in communicating their billing info but that sounds easy enough.

I have my one client who faxes over all receipts to me weekly and everything else is faxed, scanned/emailed, or snail mail like Lily. Another client who I am getting ready to dismiss is very unorganized and I have to beg for everything from him.
