Question Accounting Program
Hey Everyone.

I was curious about which accounting program to use. At my part-time job we use Peachtree which I am use to working with.

Do you suggest Quickbooks, Peachtree, or another accounting program to keep track of everything?

Thanks!

I prefer QuickBooks as the majority of my past (and present) employers used it. I only use QB for my current clients, as well.

Hi,

I am using Peachtree at my full-time job, incorrectly I must add. I am also using QuickBooks for another client. However, for my business I am using MS Accounting 2007 and I almost love the program.

If I was to every leave MS Accounting, I would go to Quicken Online and that's because you can truly be virtual. The good thing about Peachtree is with Staples, most of the time you can get the program for free. Buy the program and fill out the rebate coupon, that's how several of my clients got the program. They just get you with the maintenance agreement a yearly fee. ** I must say we had to call them 3 times a year, no fault of there’s our IT support is horrible.

Quicken has a simple (basic) program for accounting in mac. I believe it around $100 or less. I think it's call Quicken Simple.

Good luck

I have a Mac, but I run Parallels or Boot camp. I use the free Simple Start downloaded from Quickbooks. Very basic but it does the job for me. Also, because I'm in Australia it was easiest. I was going to purchase the Quicken Simple but when I saw free, I couldn't resist! Any clients I've done book work for use MYOB so far.
