I have been having trouble handling all of my calls via my local phone network. Does anyone have any recommendations of a great system to handle multiple lines and calls? Oh and affordable LOL!

I use Vonage. I can add lines as my client base grows as well as a dedicated fax line. I charge back the $10.00 to the client, in their retainer fee. There is also MajicJack that does the same thing.

Oh you know I have heard of MajicJack. I have worried about Vonage as I've known a few people who have had bad experiences with connection. It is good to know that you don't have any issues. Thanks Andrea!

I'm one of those who had nothing but trouble with Vonage. I tried it twice, once for a whole year and I had lots of problems with it.

Having said that, though, I can't really offer a solution for you and would love some suggestions myself. Right now I am using my local phone network, as well.

Hi Kasey,

I have MagicJack and Skype. I like both, but am finding I use Skype much more. You can even chat over your Skype line.

MagicJack I haven't been using so much because even with extra USB hubs added to my computer, there are just too many of them to have the MJ also connected that way. With Skype I don't have that problem.

I am also looking at RingCentral for the fax capabilities...and maybe phone; not sure on that yet, though. I tried the Skype addon, PamFax for faxing, but that was a joke.

Thanks Jules, I thought about skype as well but have seen that not everyone has it. I had a client who was in Panama and our connection was just horrible everytime and we ended up giving up and using a land line. Thanks for the info on the USB hubs though.

Does your local provider offer multiple lines? How do their prices compare? I dont use multiple lines yet. I do use https://www.trustfax.com/ to get my fax number. It was cheap and it has worked great.
